Good News Children's Center provides quality child care in a safe environment that promotes life-long learning skills through developmentally appropriate and active learning, and celebrates diversity. The Center is licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services. We became Good News in May of 2001 after Children's Home Society who had managed the program since September of 1974 decided to leave Rochester. At that time members of the community, parents, staff, and members of Evangel Church formed a task force to keep the Center operating. Due to their efforts and help from the community we kept the doors open, never losing a day of service to children and families. We have since formed our own board of directors and we have kept the program running since May of 2001. We are proud of our accomplishments.
