Rochester Downtown Alliance

Our core events include: Thursdays Downtown, SocialICE, Dogs Downtown, Movies in the Park, Fall Fest, Ladies Night Out, Here Comes Santa Claus, and Small Business Saturday. For these events, the RDA is looking to partner with local non-profits and community groups who can earn funding and/or recognition for for their organization and programs. We also have a few opportunities for individual volunteers at our events.

The mission of Rochester Downtown Alliance (RDA) is "To be a unique, vibrant, urban experience - a central gathering place for the community that is attractive, inviting, fun and livable."

The RDA was formed in February 2005 as a public/private partnership after a year-long study by the Downtown Planning Task Force known as PUMA. The concluding remarks of the study confirmed: "A vital downtown is needed for a vital Rochester!"

We are a Minnesota nonprofit corporation composed of a broad range of constituents representing property owners, business leaders, the city, and others with a direct stake in enhanced business and economic development conditions in the downtown district.

We work together to build a vibrant downtown community. We believe that a strong core positively impacts the greater city of Rochester. Through a series of special events, we create energy, excitement, and a unique character to Downtown Rochester.
