Who We Are

The Rochester Salvation Army provides a wide array of services and programs to meet the basic human needs of people in our community. These needs include food, housing clothing, rent, utilities, medical and dental care, and youth services. Special programs are offered during the Christmas season. What We Do

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the Universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. The Salvation Army has been serving the Olmsted County area for over 100 years. Services and programs have changed to adapt to the changing needs of the community, including a medical clinic for the uninsured, and a dental clinic for the under-insured. At our core, we are a human services organization determined to meet the basic needs of those most vulnerable in the Rochester area.
