Med City Foundation

Med City Foundation is a passionate and devoted group that provides healing and peace of mind to those affected by blood cancers in Rochester, MN.

About

Med City Foundation was founded in 2014 by Kristina Hesby in memory of her father who passed away in 1995 from leukemia. Her experience and her father’s legacy inspired her to help others who were going through similar situations.

We continue to pride ourselves in being 100% volunteer-led with a working board of directors leading the operations of the organization. This allows funding to do directly to the cause and passion to fuel the ongoing mission.

Mission

To support those affected by blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma while they are receiving care in Rochester, MN in order to promote healing and peace of mind.

Vision

To ensure every patient battling blood cancers while receiving care in Rochester, MN will have all of their basic, financial, and psycho-social needs meet at no cost to them or their family.

We assist patients that are traveling to the Rochester community or already live here that battling blood cancers. We do this by assisting in travel and lodging expenses through gas gift cards, discounted hotel rooms, and lodging opportunities that are free or low cost. We have apartments in downtown Rochester where patients are able to stay free of charge while they are in Rochester for treatment.
