Needs From: United Way of Southeast Minnesota

Volunteer: City Bus Passes

Some of our JM students work in order to support their families.  Some of these students are without transportation and rely on the City Bus to get them to work.  We are in need of 90-day Student City Bus Passes.  A 90-day Student Pass costs $60.

Passes can also be purchased at HyVee stores in Rochester.

Volunteer: Fresh Food for Students

We are in need of fresh food items to keep in our Rocket Community Room.  The fresh food items may be taken home by students experiencing food insecurity at home, or eaten at school for kids who need a little more to get them through the day.  This may be a student who missed breakfast, has a very late lunch, or needs a small snack to tide them over.

Items we could use: cheese sticks, apples, cutie oranges, bananas, individual yogurt/GoGurts, hummus/pita snack packs, etc...  Really small items that will last a week in the fridge and be healthy and quick for a student to eat.

Please contact Mrs. Vasquez directly about this need so you can coordinate drop-off.

Items can be dropped at the Main Entrance to John Marshall High School by the flagpole.  There is  secure entrance where you can check in for donation drop off.

Volunteer: Stay hydrated!

JM students are in need of usable water bottles to stay hydrated.  Due to COVID precautions we are using water bottles instead of the drinking fountain.

Any water bottles are fine, but we have purchased $1 water bottles from WalMart that work great.

Donations can be brought to JM Main Entrance by the flagpole school days 7:30 - 4:00 and buzz the entrance bell.
