About the Program This program provides monthly grocery kits to refugee families in the Rochester area. Many families in our community are still navigating difficult circumstances and working toward stability, and access to nutritious food is a critical part of that journey. These grocery deliveries are a tangible way to show up for our neighbors so that they know their community is still here to support them.
What You'll Do
- Pick up pre-packed grocery kits (two boxes per family) from the Catholic Charities office in Rochester when the delivery truck arrives
- Deliver kits directly to assigned refugee families at their homes
- Coordinate delivery times with families as needed to accommodate their work schedules
Time Commitment Deliveries take place on the second Thursday of each month, May through September (5 deliveries total), beginning at 9:00 AM at the Catholic Charities office. We hope volunteers can commit to the full five-month program, but we welcome those who are only available for one or two months as well.
What We're Looking For
Why It Matters For many refugee families, these grocery deliveries are more than food. They're a sign that their community cares. Your time and effort make a real difference.
