Thank you for volunteering with United Way of Olmsted County. Here are the details:
- Location: Meet at the Clubhouse at Oak Terrace Mobile Home Park
1618 Marion Rd SE Rochester, MN 55904
There is plenty of parking around the pool. Please park in the lots next to the pool and meet at the upper clubhouse (there will be signage) - Agenda: We will meet at the Clubhouse at 1:30 p.m. to discuss our neighborhood-based programming and our work with Oak Terrace and Parkside. We will then divide up the group to help tackle different projects on-site. There will be water, snacks, and volunteer shirts provided. There is also a restroom at the Clubhouse.
- Activities: Volunteers will be helping with a variety of projects: mowing, weeding, gardening, power washing, and painting. It’s up to each volunteer’s comfort level what they would like to help with; no one will be required to do something they don’t want to do! If anyone has any mobility limitations, let us know and we can find another project for them.
- What to Bring: Please wear closed toed shoes, long pants, and clothes you don’t mind getting a bit dirty. We will have some volunteer shirts. We will have gloves, trash bags, rags, etc. but would encourage people to bring their own gardening or work gloves if they have them!
