Volunteer: Learning Lab Tutor for Adult Learners

Help your neighbors and fellow community members improve their English, vocabulary, and writing skills in a Learning Lab setting where adult learners can drop in for help with their class work.

Works under the direction of staff members.  1-3 hours per week. 

Hours: Wednesdays from 11:00 am - Noon, or Mondays 9:00 am - 10:15 am

4 hours of online training required.

Volunteer: Computer Skills Classroom Volunteer

You do not have to be a computer whiz to help adults who are new to computers learn to operate a mouse, check their email, find a website, etc. This a great opportunity to use your knowledge to help adult learners meet their educational goals. The teacher describes this volunteer position as being "a guide on the side" for some students who need a little extra direction. Operates under the direction of the classroom teacher. Hours: 1 day/ week for 1 hour (9-10a m or 3-4 pm).
