Recovery Is Happening

Recovery Is Happening ("RIH") is a full-service non-profit Recovery Community Organization based in Rochester, Minnesota with a service area covering eleven counties across southeastern Minnesota. Our mission is to develop and mobilize resources that enhance long term recovery from substance use challenges through education, public advocacy, peer support and treatment. RIH provides cost effective recovery in a structured, safe, culturally sensitive, home-like setting while maintaining the highest level of ethical standards. Since 2011, we have been bringing people in recovery and people seeking recovery together in support and community.

RIH has spent ten years in Minnesota's southeastern communities developing partnerships and resources to help individuals and families impacted by substance use challenges. These programs go on both within and outside of RIH's physical location. In 2020, we served over 22,000 people in the southeastern Minnesota area. On-site, RIH is host to many recovery support groups, including cultural specific recovery groups. In addition to the on-site programming, we partner with Join Our Journey, Recovery Housing providing Peer based services to 12 homes, currently housing 86 people.
