Who We Are
Ethiopian Community in Rochester MN ECRM is a non profit organization located at 12 Elton Hill Dr. NW Rochester MN 55901. We are fiscally sponsored by Rochester Area Foundation and registered with the state of Minnesota as a non profit organization. Our goal is to provide reliable, quality, and accessible community services to Ethiopians, Eritreans, and other African immigrant community regardless of immigration status, age, sex, or other socio-economical or ideological differences. The goals include promoting self-sufficiency, cultural understanding, and assisting our community to preserve and share their cultural heritage.
What We Do
Year round youth soccer program coaching every Friday. Kids age 4 - 17
Parents walk program to encourage physical activities while kids practice soccer.
Cultural events, showing casing artifacts, food, music, art, hair braiding and coffee ceremony
Language programing teaching Amharic language.
Educate community members with current information by making translated material available and facilitating conversation with content experts.
