Who We Are
Our Mission: Three Rivers Restorative Justice brings together those who have been harmed, those who have caused harm, and community and family members to establish spaces for dialogue and transformative resolutions.
As of October 2025, we have signed referral agreements with four Justice system partners, and schools and trained 24 community members as facilitators. This has resulted in 160 cases being referred to us involving youth and adults. We are a program of Olmsted Outreach.
What We Do
TRRJ oversees dialogue-based processes which initially involve separate listening and preparatory sessions with people responsible for causing harm and those who were harmed. Cases are initially referred to TRRJ by any number of justice agencies, schools and individuals. Two trained facilitators, with the support of a Program Manager, coordinate communications and scheduling, and then guide meetings with the aim to support and empower parties who later choose whether to meet jointly or separately in restorative conferences or other parallel process that meet the stated needs of the harmed party. Parents and support people are invited to all meetings. Restorative conferences allow all involved to share their experiences, identify harms, and mutually determine reparation agreements that enable all involved to move forward in a healthier way. TRRJ then tracks the progress and completion of these agreements, notifying the referral agency when the case is ready to close.
