Through service, Minnesota Alliance With Youth develops leaders who foster young people’s individual assets, honor their voices, and prepare them to reach their goals. What We Do Minnesota Youth Council Through the Minnesota Youth Council, the official statewide voice of youth, 36 Alliance youth leaders amplify the power of their 325,000 peers to advocate for state policies that support the future of young people across Minnesota. AmeriCorps Programs The Alliance’s AmeriCorps programs support exceptional Minnesotans in paid service to young people in schools and organizations statewide. AmeriCorps members make a difference in the lives of Minnesota young people, strengthen our communities, and cultivate lifelong leadership in work and life.

Minnesota Alliance With Youth is a nonprofit that brings people together in service across generations to make our state a place where all young people can thrive. We do all our work in genuine collaboration with young people, not by imposing solutions on them — which is why we capitalize the word “With” in our name. By challenging existing systems to amplify the voice of youth, promoting access to education, and fostering collaboration across generations, Alliance members are building a Minnesota where every single young person has what they need to succeed — today and for generations to come. We work with and for youth to ensure that all young people have access to the fundamental resources proven to ensure that youth succeed, the “Five Promises”– Caring Adults, Safe Places, a Healthy Start, Effective Education, and Opportunities to Help Others. The Alliance is a proud AmeriCorps partner, working to address critical issues like chronic school absenteeism.
