The Ronald McDonald House provides a "home away from home" and offers support to families with children 18 years and younger receiving medical care. The House offers comfort and hope during very difficult times.
The Ronald McDonald House began in 1980 and has grown to house 70 families. Amenities include shared kitchen & dining areas, family rooms, play rooms and laundry facilities. Families stay at the House on a first-come-first serve basis. Each guest room can accommodate up to five people and includes a private bath with queen bed and trundle bed or bunk beds.
The House is conveniently located two blocks east of Mayo Clinic's Saint Mary's Hospital and six blocks west of the main Mayo Clinic campus. The Ronald McDonald House is a community living environment, and we are very thankful for our volunteers, who make our House a home. Families deeply appreciate the warm, caring support volunteers provide. There are many ways to make a difference at the Rochester Ronald McDonald House!
