The Reading Center

Over the course of more than 67 years, The Reading Center has quietly tested and taught over 10,000 students and trained over 2,000 educators from all over the country (and the world) in Orton-Gillingham, the teaching approach proven to help struggling readers learn to read.

Since 1951, thousands of children and adults have benefited from The Reading Center's approach to helping struggling readers. The Orton-Gillingham Approach is a research-based, multi-sensory, phonetic approach that is the hallmark of The Reading Center’s team of specially trained tutors and is used throughout our programming.
