Rochester Area Volunteer Administrators is excited to announce that they will be hosting a Community Volunteer Fair on Wednesday, June 24 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Rochester Area Family YMCA, 709 1st Ave SW, Rochester, MN 55902. This event is designed to allow organizations the opportunity to showcase who they are and what they do, while giving prospective volunteers the chance to learn about a variety of volunteer opportunities in our community.
Rochester non-profits offer an abundance of meaningful volunteer experiences to members of the community. RAVA, a community of volunteer administrators, is hosting this fair to help community members meet, greet and make win-win matches with new non-profits. There will be around 40 non-profits all under one roof. It is a one-stop shopping experience for those who are looking for a way to connect their talents, skills, and/or interests with a charity. People will find activities appropriate for families, individuals, youth, organizations, businesses, faith communities and the best part is that you have face-to-face time with someone from the charity.
The Rochester Area Volunteer Administrators (RAVA) is a network of leaders of volunteers in the Rochester area that meet to network, receive professional development, and strengthen volunteerism in our region of Minnesota.
RAVA meets the first Thursday of every month from 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. at the Rochester Senior Center. An invitation is extended to volunteer coordinators, non-profit organization staff, and anyone in the community who works with volunteers.
