The GATEway Science Fair is an annual event held in the spring for students in grades 3 through 6. Participants may attend public, private or home school in Rochester or a surrounding community. The planning team works year round to organize the Fair. The work we do includes contacting donors, publicizing the opportunity, communicating with schools about the Fair, planning pre-fair Science Fair workshops, coordinating volunteers, updating documentation and much more. Opportunities vary in time commitment and responsibility.
The team has monthly planning meetings from a few months before the event to a month afterwards but most of the work is done outside of those meetings by individuals or small teams working at home.
The next GATEway Science Fair will be Saturday, April 26, 2025.
