The GATEway Science Fair is an annual event held in February and is for any 3rd through 6th grade student in public, private or home school in Rochester or surrounding community. It is non-competitive and strives to instill a love of science through educational workshops before the fair and encouraging feedback from science professionals at the fair. We are in need of two types of volunteers, which we have listed separately through United Way. Use this entry to indicate your interest in being a reviewer.
- Reviewers. These are science professionals who are willing to talk to students about their projects and provide encouraging, constructive feedback. Your experience can be in any area of science - medical, research, engineering, education, etc. We consider graduate level students science professionals. Review sessions are one hour long plus a 15 minute training session before hand. You can review at one or both of the afternoon sessions.
- General Volunteers. For more information about general volunteers, please see our other United Way listing.
If you indicate an interest in volunteering, you'll be given more information via a volunteer sign up link on our website. Thank you for considering helping us with our event!
