Annual fundraiser to benefit Zumbro Valley Health Center and Paws and Claws Humane Society. 5k dog run/walk held at Silver Lake Park on Saturday, September 26, 2015. Volunteers report at various shifts between 7:00 am and 8:30 am. Event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Food, music, and fun as dogs and participants complete the route and receive their trophies following the run/walk. Volunteers are needed for the following opportunities: Route guides; help runners/walkers and dogs navigate the course. Volunteer assistants needed for the registration table. Volunteers to handout t-shirt to participants. T-shirt grabbers to provide t-shirts and grab bags for participants. Route setup volunteers; this team sets up the routes for both the walk and run with signage, water station setup, and officially starting the run/walk. Run route guides; these volunteers ride a bike and lead the dogs from the starting line. If you like dogs, and want to support two organizations focused on community health, this event is for you!
