Friendly Visitors support seniors with social interaction and connectedness. The Visitors program provides weekly socialization through having someone in home conversing with and engaging an older adult. Phone calls have also been a requested means of receiving services for some clients. This helps avoid loneliness, isolation and supports positive mental wellness. Visitors can visit over the phone, but in-person visits are requested most frequently.

Elder Network staff can assist interested volunteers in completing the necessary forms. Background checks are required for all volunteers through the Elder Network and can be completed with the assistance of Elder Network staff.
