Foster Grandparents create and provide support to at-risk or special needs children, identified by the site, who would benefit from extra adult guidance and attention. This can be social/ emotional support such as playing with or singing to infants, or academic support in the form of tutoring in math and or literacy skills. Foster Grandparents serve as an extra pair of hands in schools, daycares, Head Start centers, and Women's Shelters. They provide a positive and lasting impact on each child's personal or academic growth and social/emotional development.
