Who We Are
Family Service Rochester provides a wide array of services to support child safety and well-being, family stability, independence and quality of life. Our counseling, case management and education services address issues such as: grief, depression, marriage/family issues, domestic violence, children's mental health, child safety, stress management and parenting. Home services, which include Meals on Wheels, Homemaker, Handyworker and Transportation, enable elderly and disabled individuals to remain living safely in their own homes. And the Family Access Center provides children opportunities for safe, conflict free access to both parents. All of our services are available on a sliding fee scale; fees may be reduced or waived to ensure everyone is able to receive the help they need.
What We Do
To provide community based social services of the highest quality and maintain a commitment to excellence in all operational areas. Located in Rochester in Olmsted County, Minnesota, Family Service Rochester, Inc., (FSR), is a private, nonprofit 501 (c) 3, community-based, human service agency. The current organization is the result of a merger in 1991 of two respected community based nonprofits that were created in 1965 and 1969 respectively, both in response to identified community and family needs. Historically, and today, the agency serves children and their families, persons with disabilities, and the elderly, and persons in the areas of counseling, case management, and non-medical home care.
