Description

The GATEway Science Fair is an annual event held in February and is for any 3rd through 6th grade student in public, private or home school in Rochester or surrounding community. It is non-competitive and strives to instill a love of science through educational workshops before the fair and encouraging feedback from science professionals at the fair. We are in need of two types of volunteers, which we have listed separately through United Way. Use this entry to indicate your interest in being a general volunteer.

  • General Volunteers. These are adults or students, high school age or older, who are willing to help set up, run the event and clean up.  There are a wide variety of tasks that include checking in participants, helping serve snack, perimeter monitoring, etc.  Shifts are generally 2 to 3 hours in length but vary through out the day.
  • .
  • Reviewers. For more information about reviewing, please see our other United Way listing.

If you indicate an interest in volunteering, you'll be given more information via a volunteer sign up link on our website. Thank you for considering helping us with our event!
